Flying Kites

The other day we had the chance to fly the kites the Easter Bunny left for the kids. Where we live is always windy so we could probably fly kites every day. This wind was perfect though, not too strong, just enough to keep the kites in the air. The kids had fun for about the first 10 minutes and then after that they got bored. So then Derek and I took over. I think though that I'm probably not the best one for the job of holding a kite. Twice, the kite got away from me. I'm not sure how it happened exactly, I just let go, on accident of course. Really, how hard can it be to hold a kite? The kids had fun though and I'm sure we'll do it again (I'm all up for chasing a kite through a field!).
